Seven chapters and 62 pages, Allen revealed in his book proven techniques with examples to let you rise to the top of search engines very quickly. He don't consider himself an SEO guru with all this, but he have a 14 year experience in online magazines publishing and other online content as he explained in his book. Chapter One

In the first chapter Allen started from the beginning and explaining the reasons behind writing the book and what SEO experts don't want you to know. And between confusion, myths and facts, he presented ten myths that will help you to have a good background in SEO before going more further into optimization techniques in the next chapters. The fact that after reading the first chapter you should be convinced that you could be your own SEO expert.

Chapter Two

In the second chapter the author invite you to know your visitors, from where to start, what to look for, ... etc. Everything you need to know what to optimize and how. Web statistics are certainly your friend in SEO and the more you can dig inside and grab the necessary information the more you could find your way better into search engines ranking.

Chapter Three

In the third chapter a look at search engines and spiders, the difference between different search engines and how its influence on your optimization process. The Do's and Don'ts of submitting your website in search engine. You can learn also about algorithms changes, page rank and instant search referrals.

Chapter Four

The chapter four is probably the longest chapter in the book with 17 pages, including illustration and examples. This is what he called the "Meat of search engines optimizations", where he break up a web page into different parameters and explained each parameter apart and how it can help in SEO. Beginning from the meta title, descriptions and keywords, then dig into keywords and keyword phrases, to finish with URL structure, keywords in URLs and Anchor text.

Chapter Five

The chapter five is simply an introduction to referrals : organic, direct and regular. With more details about reciprocal linking and sitewide links. This is also the shortest chapter in the book with just two pages, I think there is much more things to say here.

Chapter Six

I totally agree that content is the most important aspect of SEO, and that's what you'll find in this chapter. You can find here about site content and writing for visitors and spiders ! The author introduce the spider food for hungry search engines and how to encourage your visitors to return with unique and original content.

Chapter Seven

Cerise sur le gateau, we finish by putting it all together in chapter seven. The samples distributed with the book are explained here and show you real examples how to optimize for certain keywords step by step. Then finish by talking about SEO maintenance which important to do periodically to preserve a good ranking and avoid loosing rank in the high sales period.

Conclusion

The book finish with three pages for resources about keyword research and site submission. From what I read in your summary of the book (I won't call it a review because you expressed your opinion on the true value of the book, only once : "I think there is much more things to say here" ), The title of the book is very misleading and very noob oriented. There is nothing confidential about the techniques mentioned as all of them are very basic techniques discussed in every descent webmasters/seo forum. The book is yet another collection of simple seo techniques that will give you a good start if you are new to seo and don't want to make your own collection of techniques. I personnaly prefer to read from forums like webmasterworld, digitalpoint, sitepoint, searchenginewatch, because will have multiple opinions for every issue discussed and this will help to avoid jumping to conclusions.
This book focused on on-page seo (the things you can change about your site like titles, metas, urls, keywords, ...) and more or less neglects the most important part, at least for google, of your seo effort: off-page or getting RELEVENT sites to link to your site.
