Search engine SPAM detector
Search engine SPAM detector is a web-based tool allowing users to check their websites against techniques that might be considered as spam by search engines, also known as Black hat SEO. The tool tries to detect three main methods: keyword stuffing, doorway farms and hidden text. Any trick based on Javascript or on CSS positioning/layering will not be detected (for now). Search engine spam detection is very difficult to accomplish and this tool can't recognize all the existing tricks/methods; it isn't perfect and it sometimes fails.
For example I run the script over SEO Magazine and got the results below :
* Invisible text research: The tool hasn't found any invisible text.
* Unnatural text research: The tool has not detected any unnatural text.
* Keyword stuffing tendency analysis: The tool hasn't found any significant keyword stuffing tendency in HTML code.
* Doorway farm research: The tool hasn't found any doorway farm.
In other words my website should be safe, but sometimes I noticed some websites using similar techniques but unconsciously ! Sometimes for an esthetic reason, sometimes because they think that repeating keywords could be helpful for positioning their websites ... And this is something that I suggest immediately owners of such websites to correct and keep their website clean and safe !
There is many excellent techniques to get a better position for keywords you want, and keeping your website safe. You can read our tutorial section to find the basic tutorials for SEO, or see our selection of books.
